2015 marks a key anniversary year for the ESRC, as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. Since being founded in 1965, the ESRC has been instrumental in supporting and developing the field of academic research and social sciences. Whilst anniversaries look back to celebrate these contributions, celebrations are also about looking forward; what does the next 50 years hold for the social sciences?

As part of their anniversary celebrations they have launched a writing competition to take a creative look at what impact current research will have in 2065. If you're and ESRC funded PhD student, or have been in the last three years, they want to hear from you.  Use your writing skills, your research and your sector insight to tell the judges:

How your research or discipline will change the world by 2065?

The deadline for entries is 16.00 on 15 July 2015.
