Armand D’Angour is Fellow and Tutor in Classics at Jesus College Oxford. Formerly a professional musician, he combines his musical expertise with his knowledge of the Classics: he has been on research leave conducting a 2-year research project (2013-15) with funding from the British Academy into how ancient Greek music may have sounded. In May 2015 he featured in a BBC TV 4 film documentary on Sappho, where he spoke about reconstructing the melody of a Sappho poem.
