We are pleased to announce that we are now welcoming nominations for our Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA) scheme, which recognises outstanding contributions to teaching and learning and the academic development of students by colleagues across the Division.
The unfunded TEA awards are decided by the Division’s Quality Assurance Committee based on factors such as outstanding support for student learning, the development of new teaching methods and approaches, or a commitment to professional development.
All applications should be submitted to the Divisional Office at qa@socsci.ox.ac.uk, by noon on Friday 24 March 2023.
TEA nominations may be made under one of four categories:
(a) Individual Awards for Academic Staff: Open to all academic staff (including contract research staff) who teach undergraduate or graduate students. Between three and six awards will be made.
(b) Individual Awards for Academic Staff (Early Careers Stream): Open to all academic staff (including contract research staff) who are within the first five years of their career as a University teacher. Up to three awards will be made.
(c) Excellence in Supervision Award: Open to all academic staff who carry out DPhil supervision. Between three and six awards will be made.
(d) Achievement Award: For individuals who have demonstrated high quality and sustained commitment to education throughout their career (normally a minimum of 15 years). Up to three awards will be made.
