Tackling Race Bias at Work

As part of its work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable environment, the division is recommending that all staff during 2021 take the University's online course Tackling Race Bias at Work. This course offers the opportunity to better understand racism in the workplace, and make key changes to tackle racism and race bias. It is hoped that the participation of all staff will support productive conversations at the departmental, divisional, and University level.

To take the course, visit the EDU training website, under 'Race Awareness' select 'Tackling Race Bias at Work'. You will be redirected to the 'CoSy' site, where you will need to add the course to your 'basket' and 'check out' (note that there is no charge for taking the course).

The course is introductory, and the University will be reviewing its provision of EDI training in 2021. Feedback and suggestions for further training provision are welcome - please email diversity@socsci.ox.ac.uk.
