Teaching Recognition Scheme pilot achieves 100% success rate

During 2020-21 the Centre for Teaching and Learning piloted a new Teaching Recognition Scheme (TRS) which enabled participants to make a claim for recognition as either a Fellow (FHEA) or Senior Fellow (SFHEA) of the Higher Education Academy. Participants were supported in writing their claim for professional recognition by staff from the Centre for Teaching and Learning, alongside having access to a suite of tailored resources online. The scheme also provided professional development opportunities for colleagues to meet online and network with others across the University.

In total, 16 FHEA and nine SFHEA participants were successful in gaining a place on the TRS scheme, and we are delighted to announce that all of the members of staff who participated were successful in gaining recognition as either a Fellow or Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Based on this success, a further round of the TRS for individuals wishing to apply for recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy will commence in Hilary term 2022. This next round of the scheme will again be open exclusively to those who successfully completed either the Enhancing Teaching Programme or the PGCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education at Oxford between 2016-19.

You can find out more, and view the list of successful participants from the pilot, on the Centre for Teaching and Learning website.
