The Oxford Foundry offers placements with the start-ups they support which are tackling some of the most crucial challenges of our time, from environmental monitoring and reporting, to the protection of online privacy, and increasing the capacity and efficiency of healthcare services.
The placements run from April to July 2020 and are specifically designed for doctoral students. They provide an excellent opportunity to be part of an award-winning venture team, working in areas such as but not limited to marketing research and strategy, business development and relationship management. The project descriptions are left relatively open to allow for DPhil students to scope their placements in discussion with the respective start-up in a way that reflects their skills and interests.
Please note the deadline for applications is 16 February 2020. If successful, you can apply for funding support for this placement. You will also gain transferable skills in problem-solving, entrepreneurship, leadership, emerging technologies and creativity that all employers value. Furthermore, you will be able to meet mentors and industry experts from companies like Twitter, Google and EY.
