DTP Placements and Professional Skills Coordinator
I am responsible for the development and operational delivery of the Research-in-Practice programme of the ESRC-funded Grand Union Doctoral Training Partnership (GUDTP). Grand Union brings together social scientists from the University of Oxford, Open University, and Brunel University London. I help students across the DTP to co-develop and undertake placements in academia, policy, business, or a third-sector organisation, as part of their studentship. I also advise them on identifying appropriate training opportunities to address their individual professional development needs. Additionally, I forge and nurture connections with prospective academic and non-academic partners, enabling knowledge exchange opportunities and mutually beneficial collaborations with the industry.
