Smartphones for science: from ‘toy to tool’
Can smartphones be more than a toy and device of distraction? Visitors to the 2022 ESRC Festival of Social Science joined social scientist for hands-on activities to unlocked the potential of smartphones as a tool for scientific research: discovering the Lab-In-Your-Pocket project, investigating with mini microscopes, and seeing how a machine learning app can help you to explore and influence our local environment.
