DNA4Science to launch with ERC Proof of Concept grant
Professor Melinda Mills has been awarded a European Research Council Proof of Concept grant of 150,000 euros to launch DNA4Science: a sustainable social business enterprise that will ethically distribute donated genetic and digital data for use by certified researchers.
Enabling access to unique and novel data sets vital to understanding so many diseases and behaviour, the initiative has the potential to expedite treatments to market and to democratise data ownership.
