Collaboration Journeys

Collaboration Journeys

Here are graphic representations of the collaboration journeys of five social scientists.  There’s a surprising amount of detail and useful tips packed into these sketches. Look out for what the researchers identified in advance as possible interest and benefits (to both parties), the skills they used along the way, challenges they encountered, and what they got out of the experience at the end.

What comes across clearly are the breadth of possibilities in collaborating with non-academic partners, from initial motivations, to skills development, and outcomes. If the idea of a collaboration appeals to you in principle, but you don’t have a clear idea of what that might look like, you may find some inspiration among these!
