A Social Sciences Division Research, Impact and Engagement Team Workshop
Are you a Social Sciences researcher interested in fresh, innovative ways to connect people with your research? Join us for an inspiring, hands-on session showcasing creative methods for public engagement.
You’ll have the opportunity to talk to social sciences researchers who have used:
film and exhibitions to share insights in unexpected spaces
Scent to engage visitors with research at the Pitt Rivers
Cluedo-style and other games to bring research to life
soundscapes to spark discussion on migration
The session will close with a panel discussion, including Sara Lowes, Head of Communities, Practice & Participation at Modern Art Oxford. Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, practical ideas, or future collaborations, this event is designed to inform, spark creativity, and lay the groundwork for further training in creative methods for public engagement.
Fixed term researchers in SSD will be given priority when allocating spaces.
