The University of Oxford also secured first place in two other subjects, making it the UK university with the most courses ranked top in the world.
This is the sixteenth consecutive year that the School of Geography and the Environment (SoGE) has achieved this recognition. Professor Giles Wiggs, Head of the School of Geography and the Environment, said: ‘Topping the QS World Rankings for Geography for an incredible 16th successive year is a remarkable achievement by everybody at the School of Geography and the Environment. It is the fourth time in five years that the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography has held this ranking.
