Have you heard about the UK's association with Horizon Europe? Are you awaiting details of the ERC's 2025 Work Programme? Are you considering applying for either an ERC Starting or Consolidator Grant in coming months or years, or will you be supporting one such application? Then this session could be for you!

In collaboration with Philippa King (Research Funding Specialist, Research Services), we aim to provide an overview of these highly competitive and highly sought-after funding opportunities. We will also discuss specific advice and/or insight targeted at Social Scientists, where applicable.

In addition, we will be joined during the session by Dr Jane Kershaw (School of Archaeology, Oxford, and PI on an ERC Starting Grant) and Professor Christiaan Monden (Department of Sociology, Oxford, and PI on an ERC Consolidator Grant). They will discuss their experience in applying for ERC funding and what the awards have meant for their research.

The event is open to Social Sciences early and mid-career researchers, as well as professional services staff supporting ERC applications.
