Lindsey Spriggs (Research Culture Facilitator) and Sarah Mallet (Research Facilitator) have co-developed this training session to help researchers address aspects of funding applications that are focused on issues related to research culture, including (but not limited to) questions about the research environment, professional development, leadership, Responsible Research & Innovation, and EDI. Developing one's understanding of these (increasingly common) aspects of funding applications should help boost confidence throughout the application process and enhance the potential for successfully obtaining research funding.
The training session will explain how research culture can be understood, why it is important (both in and of itself, and in the context of funding applications), the importance of professional development and the related opportunities available. It also offers practical tips and signposting to further sources of guidance.
