The Social Sciences Impact Conference is pleased to announce the Campaign for Social Science as an official partner, and Overton and Palgrave Macmillan, part of Springer Nature, as sponsors for the 2026 event, Impact in Motion: Navigating Uncertainty, Creating Change, taking place 24–25 March 2026 at St Anne’s College, University of Oxford.

The Social Sciences Impact Conference is a flagship event convening researchers, policymakers, practitioners and innovators to explore how social sciences research can generate meaningful change in society, drive economic growth, and address complex global challenges. This year’s programme will explore how innovation, inclusive engagement, and cross-sector collaboration can help us move forward positively in a rapidly changing world.

The Campaign for Social Science is part of the Academy of Social Sciences and it demonstrates how social science improves public policy, society and people’s lives. It highlights the value of applied social science research and advocates for its greater use in decision-making and in government. The Campaign promotes the benefits of investing in social science to deliver evidence-based solutions to the significant challenges and opportunities facing our society.

Aileen Marshall-Brown, Head of Engagement, Social Sciences Division, University of Oxford and Conference Lead said:

“We are delighted to partner with the Campaign for Social Science for the 2026 Social Sciences Impact Conference. This partnership will help us to reach broader audiences and support our shared goal of raising awareness of the value and contribution of social science research to society with funders, policy makers and business.”

Steve Grundy, Senior Campaign Manager, Academy of Social Sciences said:

“We’re excited to be partnering with the University of Oxford, an institution that has long supported the Campaign for Social Science, on its 2026 Social Sciences Impact Conference. This annual event is very much in line with what the Campaign is all about – demonstrating the contemporary relevance of social science research and showcasing the positive impacts it has on all our lives.”
